Cross-cultural Contemporary Art: Jie Qi's Dragon - White Dew (白露之展)
Autumn is the time to turn from restlessness to calmness. Half of the year is coming to an end, which makes people think about themselves, "Who am I, where am I and what am I doing". This is especially true for artistic explorers in a multicultural environment. In the past time, experiencing changes, accepting changes, and transforming changes seem to have become daily and hourly daily homework. It is like traveling to the west to fetch the scriptures, a long and distant journey. Jie Qi's Dragon is also on this journey, entering the White Dew.
The White Dew is the third season of autumn, symbolizing the falling temperatures, condensation of the morning dew, and the intensification of autumn. At this point in the season, young artist suki brings forth a work full of childlike fun and creativity. On the picture, fluttering yellow leaves sprinkle lightly, and squirrels are busy storing food in preparation for the cold winter. Most creatively, the scales of the dragon are transformed into houses in the painting, giving it a unique visual interest.
The Jie Qi's Dragon project combines traditional Chinese festivals with contemporary art to explore the symbiosis between culture and nature. The works in each node are created by different artists or young artists, showing their understanding and creative expressions of the festivals. This project is not only an exploration of art, but also a profound reflection on environmental protection and cultural heritage.
